Most people know Joe Burrow for his play on the football field. However, he is quickly becoming a fashion icon.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback frequently goes viral for his game-day outfits, formerly styled by local menswear retailer Chuck Hellman, but he isn’t just stylish by Twitter’s standards. The New York Times recently listed Burrow among its “93 Most Stylish People of 2022.”
The list, which includes politicians, celebrities, athletes, influencers and even fictional characters, highlights individuals whose wardrobes sparked conversations this year. It is presented in no particular order.
Burrow received the nod thanks to his AFC Championship Game Instagram post, in which he said, “Cartier glasses I won’t even peek at you.” His oversized fur coat, sunglasses, black turtleneck and diamond necklace took social media by storm in January, especially with it having an uncanny resemblance to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s viral ensemble.
