Low-cost airline Breeze announced a big expansion Tuesday, with 22 new routes and one fully new destination set to join the network in the coming months.
“Here we grow again,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO said in a statement. “We’re always looking for new routes that people are traveling today but can’t get there nonstop. So, at Breeze, we’ll get you there twice as fast for about half the price.”
Portland, Maine, will be the airline’s next city served beginning May 17, with flights to Charleston, South Carolina; Tampa, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

What to expect when flying Breeze
As a low-cost carrier, Breeze sells different fare bundles that come with different levels of amenities. The cheapest “nice” bundle doesn’t include checked or personal baggage, for example, while the “nicer” bundle does include both of those options and gives you access to an economy seat with more legroom. The “nicest” bundle gets you a bump to the airline’s first-class seat product where available and includes a higher baggage allowance and onboard drinks and snacks.Â
