Watch as girl, 5, walks away after being hit by car while playing and sent flying through window of driving school

A LITTLE girl and her family are counting their blessings after she narrowly escaped death in this shocking video.
CCTV captured the moment a drunk driver ploughed into a motorcyclist, before veering towards where the young girl was playing.

In the video, five-year-old Maria Luiza can be seen playing behind a potted plant on a side street.
Suddenly, a speeding vehicle races onto the street and barrels towards where the young girl is playing.
The driver first strikes a motorcyclist with such force that he flies over the car, before turning towards the young girl.

The vehicle then hits the potted plant and mows into the shop window, throwing helpless Maria through the wall.
As glass shatters, the car suddenly stops as the little girl is flung into what looks like a bench.
Thankfully, the youngster stood up and ran into the arms of her father quickly, terrified from the ordeal.
Maria’s father was initially sitting next to her, but he stood to the side shortly before the insane driver veered onto their street.

The irresponsible driver was arrested at the scene when a breathalyser showed he had been drinking.
The driver claimed he couldn’t remember losing control of the vehicle, as he’d been drinking with friends before hopping into the vehicle.
Maria’s parents own a refrigeration business next door where the incident happened, witnessing it first hand. 
Her father told Globo: “We had just finished working and went to sit in the front for a little while… it happened so fast.”
The five-year-old was rushed to the doctor’s where she had an X-ray, CT scan and other check-ups, but was given the all clear.
Maria’s mother has pleaded with people to avoid drinking and driving, as it is not the first time her daughter has been put into danger by it.
Just three months ago the little girl needed 26 stitches in her head as her family car was rammed by a drunk driver.
Luckily little Maria cheated death once again, with only a few minor cuts from the broken glass.
