The stunned rider then lies crumpled between the binbags until the truck stops and passers-by rush to help him.
His upturned legs can be seen poking out of the truck as passing drivers slow down to have a look at him.
CornwallLive reports that the driver hit the binbags with such force that his helmet fell off, ending up among the rubbish.
People were divided over the shocking footage.
Jason: “This cyclist should attend a speed awareness course.”
Rick said: “He properly binned it.”
Another man said: “Newlyn has it all.”
It’s currently unknown whether the bike will itself have to be recycled, although the cyclist was uninjured.
The footage comes after The Sun revealed that furious locals blasted a cycle lane as a waste of money when it was built with a “ridiculous” design flaw.
Drivers in Halifax, West Yorkshire were stunned when they noticed two lampposts bizarrely obstructing the bike lane in both directions.
We also revealed that panicked parents say their kids’ lives are at risk because of a “dangerous” £4million bike lane outside their primary school.
Cyclists reportedly whizz down the half-mile stretch in Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear, like they’re doing the Tour de France.
