Bystanders filmed the cops cautiously approaching the brown dog with the animal control pole as they loop it around its neck.
Another officer stands by at the ready with a fire extinguisher in hand in case the savage pet got out of control.
In the footage, the injured teen can be seen lying down on the ground at the bus stop with people tending to him.
But although the dog seemed to be under control, it starts to resist against the officer who has to use all his strength to keep it at bay.
Eventually the brave cops manage to submit the hound once more as it stops writhing and is seen lying down by the kerb.
According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening.
A Metropolitan police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance at about 3.55pm on Thursday, February 2 to reports of a child bitten by a dog at a bus stop on Burdett Road, E3.

It comes after a string of tragic dog attacks in recent weeks has seen five children killed by dogs in the past year.
Little Alice Stones was attacked in her back garden in Netherfield, Buckinghamshire, shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.
The 4-year-old was mauled to death by her own pet dog in a horror attack that shocked the nation.
Locals were evacuated before armed cops cornered and gunned down the killer dog, which the family reportedly only rescued six weeks ago.
A neighbour revealed they heard Alice’s mother screaming in the aftermath of the tragic incident before police arrived at the scene.
The tragic girl’s death follows those of Daniel John Twigg, three, Lawson Bond, two, Bella-Rae Birch, 17 months, Kyra Leanne King, three months, and Jack Lis, 10, who all died in horrendous dog attacks in recent years.
Cops are also searching for an owner after another incident last week, when a dog savaged an elderly lady and broke her arm.
A horrific video from the scene captured the dog attacking the 74-year-old while she lays on the floor, having been knocked to the ground.
Footage shows bystanders bravely trying to halt the hound’s vicious attack by kicking it as it mauled the victim.
