A SCHOOLGIRL is fighting for her life and a boy is seriously injured after they were stabbed in a town centre.
Cops have arrested a 15-year-old boy after the youngsters were knifed in Hexham, Northumberland, shortly after 5pm.

Police say the girl’s injuries are life-threatening.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Their next of kin are being informed.
“An investigation was immediately launched, and a 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody at this time.
“This is clearly a serious incident and a full investigation is under way.
“While our investigation is at an early stage, we do believe all those involved are known to each other.
“We are determined to find out what has happened and bring anyone involved to justice.”
Cops say there is a high police presence in the area, and a cordon will remain at the scene over the weekend.
Northumbria Police added: “We would like to thank the public for their cooperation.
