Police today confirmed a body pulled from a river in Newham on Friday night is believed to belong to Florentino.
Formal identification has not yet taken place but next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as “unexpected” but is not believed to be suspicious.
Scotland Yard said: “The body of a man recovered from a river in Newham on Friday evening is believed to be that of Miguel Angel Alvarez Florentino who was wanted in connection with the murder of Yolanda Saldana Feliz.
“Yolanda’s family has been made aware of this significant development. They continue to be supported by specialist officers.”
Police were scrambled to the home at around 3.30am on October 23 after the horror unfolded.
Yolanda sadly couldn’t be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
A post mortem gave a cause of death as stab wounds.
The second woman was taken to hospital after also being knifed but her injuries are not life-threatening.
The Met released Florentino’s picture and confirmed they urgently wanted to find him following Yolanda’s murder.
They confirmed he was known to both women.
