AN ALARMED mum has blasted McDonald’s after her daughter found a snap of a half-naked man on one of its kids’ tablets.
Laura Wilson’s five-year-old came across the screen-sized photo of the bare-chested male as she played on the table device at a restaurant in Aberdeen.
1McDonald’s said it was investigating the disturbing findChiefs confirmed the tech’s settings had been “tampered with” — and the camera function activated.
Creeped-out Laura said: “I asked a member of staff if they checked the content and they said that wasn’t something they usually did.
“The tablets are for children so there should be safeguarding rules. It’s really worrying.
“I immediately complained and they just sent me an apology email and a voucher.”
McDonald’s said it was investigating last week’s disturbing find.
It insisted the Samsung tablets have strict controls including app and internet content filtering.
A spokesman added: “On this occasion, the settings appear to have been tampered with and the camera enabled.
“As soon as this was brought to the attention of the restaurant team, the tablets were removed.
“We apologise to the customer.”
