A MAN has been accused of strangling his partner to death before dismembering her body into 35 pieces and dumping her remains.
Aftab Ameen Poonawala, 28, attacked his girlfriend Shraddha Walkar, 26, on May 18 after the pair got into a furious row, according to police.

Police said that the accused travelled to dispose of the body parts at 2am every morning after keeping them inside a 300-litre fridge.
Ankit Chauhan, Additional DCP-I, South district, said: “The duo fell in love while working in Mumbai and came to Delhi by April-end or May first week after facing opposition from their families.
“While they were living in the national capital, they had an argument in mid-May over marriage, which escalated, and he strangled her.
“The accused had preserved the woman’s body in a fridge and disposed of them on different occasions.”
26-year-old Shraddha had been working at a call centre in Mumbai when the pair met, NDTV report.
They started dating and moved in together but were forced to move to Delhi when their families disapproved of their relationship.
In September, Shraddha’s friend reached out to the victim’s brother when she claimed her phone had been switched off for 2 months, according to reports.
There had also been no updates on any of her social media accounts.
In November the victim’s father, Vikash Madan Walkar, lodged a missing person case with Mumbai police.
The case was then transferred to Delhi cops after her father said he suspected Poonawala was involved in her disappearance.
On November 8, her father arrived at the flat to find the door locked and told police he feared his daughter had been kidnapped and that Poonawala often beat her.
Poonawala was arrested just days later before police say he confessed to the murder – telling them how he killed Shraddha and disposed of her body.
Police confirmed that remains had been discovered in the Mehrauli Forest but have not said if they were human.
A knife also said to have been used has not been located by police.
