Four children taken to hospital and woman ‘seriously injured’ after horror car crash

FOUR kids and a woman are in hospital today after a Land Rover smashed into a van.
Emergency services charged to the scene in Middlewich, Cheshire, on Wednesday following the horror.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to remove a 28-year-old woman who was “seriously injured”.
She was given painkillers at the scene near the junction of Whatcroft Lane.
The woman’s injuries are “not thought to be life threatening”, police said.

The children were taken to hospital as a precaution following the 2pm smash.
Horrific pictures show the crushed black Land Rover Discovery wedged in a hedge.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: “The incident involved two vehicles, a black Land Rover discovery and a transit van which was towing a trailer.
“The driver of the discovery, a 28-year-old woman, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries – they are not believed to be life threatening.”
