DETECTIVES have launched an urgent manhunt after a man attempted to snatch a young girl off the street.
The girl was able to run away, and officers are now investigating the attempted kidnapping.

It was reported a man had approached a young girl and tried to take her away.
Thankfully, the girl was able to flee to safety and was not harmed. She and her family are now being supported by specialist officers.
The man is described as black, dressed in all black and wearing a black hat.
So far no arrests have been made and police enquiries are ongoing, with authorities increasing the number of patrols in the area.
The force are asking people to be extra vigilant, and ask anyone with information on the incident or who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area to report it.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time.
