Wests Tigers have bolstered their utility stocks with the signing of Will Smith on a one-year deal for 2023.
Smith, 30, most recently played for Hull FC in the English Super League, having joined on a short-term deal after being granted a release by the Titans in June.
Able to play in the halves or at fullback, Smith has played 84 first-grade games in Australia, starting with Penrith before moving to the Eels and then Gold Coast.

Tigers coach Tim Sheens spoke about Smith following the announcement.
“Will is a talented player who can cover a lot of positions,” said Sheens.
“His experience will be very helpful because we have such a young squad.”
Sheens, returning for his second stint in charge of the club, will be hoping Smith can play a role in turning the team around.
The Tigers limped to the wooden spoon in 2022 and, in an effort to kickstart a revival, have added Api Koroisau, Isaiah Papali’i and Charlie Staines to the roster.
