Here is all you need to know about Grisham and how he rose to prominence within combat sports.
Who is Todd Grisham?
A sportscaster to start his career, Grisham was brought in front of an international audience by signing with WWE in 2004. He provided commentary on Heat as well as “Byte This!” One of the most famous moments from the latter show was the evolution of the Lita and Edge vs. Matt Hardy feud. It went from real backstage drama to a major WWE story.
Grisham thrived as a backstage interviewer for RAW, interviewing stars like John Cena, Triple H, Edge, Randy Orton, and others. Following that, he became the main play-by-play commentator for WWE’s version of ECW in 2008. In 2009, he joined SmackDown and in 2011 joined the NXT brand.
Following a run in WWE, Grisham joined ESPN, anchoring SportsCenter and MMA Live, as well as providing news updates for American This Morning. Along with a brief run in the UFC, Grisham joined GLORY Kickboxing in 2016. He has been a play-by-play announcer for the organization and continues to be a part of major events.
In 2018, Grisham was added to the DAZN boxing team and has been a primary voice for the platform. He has called fights like Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennadiy Golovkin, and Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk. Grisham has also provided commentary for fights within KSI’s MF & DAZN: X Series and the Terence Crawford vs. Davis Avanesyan fight on BLK Prime.
