Tim Tszyu will fight for a maiden world title in his hometown of Sydney.

Qudos Bank Arena has been chosen as the host venue of next month’s WBO super-welterweight world championship bout between Tszyu and American Tony Harrison.

Sydney beat out competition from Melbourne and the Gold Coast for the right to host the blockbuster event which will take place on Sunday, March 12.

The arena at Sydney Olympic Park has a capacity of just under 20,000, with a sellout crowd expected to see the popular Aussie in action.

Tszyu has already headlined a show at the venue, defeating Takeshi Inoue via a one-sided unanimous decision back in November 2021.

Tszyu vs. Harrison tickets

Organisers are yet to confirm when tickets go on-sale or pricing details, but they are expected to be in demand.

Fans can sign up to promoter No Limit Boxing’s pre-sale list here to ensure first crack at tickets for the event.

Tszyu vs. Harrison fight card

The full fight card is still being finalised but several names from No Limit’s stable of boxers have been confirmed to appear.

Tszyu’s younger brother and rising star Nikita, as well as Paulo Aokuso and Sam Goodman, are in the mix.

A host of Australia’s best boxing talent has put their hand up to fight on the show, so there’ll be no shortage of names for matchmakers to choose from.
