Tottenham vs Manchester City lineups, starting 11, team news, injuries for Premier League match

Tottenham Hotspur could be reinforced by two players making their home debuts for the club when they face Manchester City for the second time in under three weeks on Sunday.

Arnaut Danjuma and Pedro Porro both joined Spurs after their 4-2 defeat at City on January 19, when Antonio Conte’s side spurned a 2-0 halftime lead.

Head coach Conte himself could miss out on the game, while the visitors also have concerns over a defender and a creative player as a result of injuries to John Stones and Phil Foden.

Here’s the latest on who could be available and the likely starting lineups ahead of the Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham vs Manchester City lineups

There are no significant new injury concerns for Tottenham, who are expecting forward Richarlison to return from an adductor problem and will make late decisions on Lucas Moura and Pape Sarr.

Right-back Pedro Porro is in contention after sealing a loan switch from Sporting CP on transfer deadline day, which will become a permanent £39.5 million ($47.6m) transfer at the end of the season, and on-loan Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma could feature again after scoring on his Spurs bow as a substitute in the 3-0 FA Cup win at Preston North End.

Conte had his gallbladder removed after feeling intense abdominal pain at the start of the week but the Italian could be back in time to be on the touchline.

City head coach Pep Guardiola says centre-back Stones could be out for a month with a thigh injury. Foden, though, should be ready following a foot problem.

Speaking in Conte’s absence on Friday, Tottenham assistant coach Cristian Stellini did not confirm whether Porro will be given his full debut against City.

Spurs have not conceded for more than three hours of football and their 1-0 win at Fulham in their last Premier League match means they could move to within a point of the Champions League qualification places with victory against City.

Of the potentially returning players, Brazil international Richarlison is the most likely to start if Tottenham decide to make major changes.

The major move at City before transfer deadline day was defender Joao Cancelo’s switch to Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich on loan.

That deal will not require any adjustment to City’s starting side because the Portugal international had been an unused substitute in each of their three matches since he started the 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on January 14.

Jack Grealish started the win over Spurs at Etihad Stadium, with England teammate Foden not called upon from the bench on that occasion.
