It seems only right that Tim Tszyu will fight for his first world title in his hometown of Sydney.
The 28-year-old super-welterweight has shot to stardom in recent years, cleaning out the division in Australia before turning his attention overseas.
Tszyu was due to face Jermell Charlo in Las Vegas for the undisputed title last month but the American suffered in injury, seeing Tszyu look towards a new challenge.
On Sunday, March 12, the son of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu will fight Detroit’s Tony Harrison at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for the interim WBO super-welterweight world title.
Tszyu’s last fight in Australia, a one-sided, unanimous decision victory over Takeshi Inoue, was fought in front of a raucous crowd at Qudos Bank Arena and this one is expected to have significantly more interest.

Tszyu vs. Harrison tickets
Tickets to the event went on sale on Friday, February 10 but fans who registered to the pre-sale with No Limit Boxing were able to get early access.
The pre-sale opened at 9am on Friday, while general sale tickets went on sale through Ticketek at 3pm on Friday.
Tickets are still available, starting at $79 for adults and going all the way up to $5,000 for those wanting to splurge on a ringside seat.

Tszyu vs. Harrison start time
Due to the international significance of the fight, the card is set to get underway in the morning in Sydney.
That allows for a primetime Saturday night broadcast in the US when the main event kicks off in the afternoon.
Doors to the arena are due to open at 9am, while the exact time of the first fight and main event are still to be confirmed as organisers continue to put together the undercard.
Fans can expect to see Tszyu and Harrison step into the ring around 3pm. Be sure check back closer to the fight for any updates.
