Tom Trbojevic is States-bound.

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have decided to send their star fullback overseas to aid his recovery from a hamstring injury.

‘Turbo’ will jet off to the United States to work with renowned reconditioning specialist Bill Knowles – the same specialist who worked with Latrell Mitchell for his similar trip earlier in 2022.

The 26-year-old will spend around two weeks in Philadelphia, where he will participate in twenty rehabilitative sessions.

Manly coach Anthony Seibold believes Trbojevic’s trip will be a wise investment.

“He’ll work on reconditioning his body – specifically his hamstring,” Seibold said in an official club video.

“We thought as a club that we wanted to provide the best services to Tom, and we thought that Bill Knowles was the person we would turn to.”

The Sea Eagles’ No. 1 is facing up to two months on the sidelines after suffering his most recent hamstring injury during training last week.

He has been plagued with injury issues throughout his career, managing just seven appearances last season due to a shoulder complaint.

Notably, Trbojevic has missed 53 games over the past four seasons with Manly losing 35 of those, highlighting just how important he is to the side’s chances of having a successful season.

He shared that he is looking forward to the physical and educational benefits of the trip.

“You obviously saw what Latrell did on the back of [his USA trip],” Trbojevic said.

“I think it’s a really good opportunity for me to go over there and look at a few new ideas and pick some things out that I can take back here.

“Hopefully I’ll have a really good 2023.”
