The Penrith Panthers have taken another step in keeping their 2022 premiership roster together, announcing Friday that they have re-signed Matt Eisenhuth and Jaeman Salmon.

After playing 35 games for Penrith over the past two years, Eisenhuth has signed on for at least two, which will keep the 30-year-old in a Panthers jersey until 2024.

His two years with Penrith were preceded by four years with the Wests Tigers, and since moving to the Panthers he has been instrumental in both the NRL and NSW Cup sides, both of which won premierships.

Salmon has signed back on for half that time, one season, which will be his third total with the reigning premiers.

He was the last uncontracted member of Penrith’s premiership after coming off the bench in their 16-point victory over his former club Parramatta, and will no doubt be looking to take on a bigger role for the Panthers.

Matt Cameron, the CEO of the Panthers, said the team is excited to bring both players back and to see what they can go on to do.

“On behalf of all at Panthers, I’d like to congratulate Matt and Jaeman on their new deals with the club,” Cameron said.

“Matt and Jaeman have both played important roles for the club over the past two seasons, and I look forward to seeing them remain at Panthers.”

The Panthers will kick off their season on the third of March next year when they take on the Brisbane Broncos at home.
