Mr. Olympia purse 2022

The total purse for the combined 11 events at Mr. Olympia is $1.6 million in 2022, which ties last year’s competition for the highest total in the history of the event. The purse was previously set at $1.4 million from 2015-2020.

How much money does the winner get?

The winner of the Mr. Olympia event is the only first place winner to earn six figures.

While $750,000 is set aside for the Mr. Olympia competition alone, not all of that money goes to the winner. In 2021, Elssbiay took home $400,000, while the second place finisher came away with $150,000 and the third place finisher won $100,000.
