The Bears lost a hard-fought battle to the Eagles in Week 15, but Justin Fields did well to keep them in the game.
Fields did well through the air, going 14 of 21 for 152 yards and two touchdowns. However, he made a bigger impact on the ground, where he often proved too slippery for the Philadelphia defense to catch.
The second-year quarterback ran for 95 yards on 15 carries. That included a 39-yard run that saw him evade numerous Eagles defenders and nearly make it to the end zone.
JUSTIN FIELDS. INCREDIBLE RUN.

Indeed, Fields was a menace on the move in this contest, as he has been for the whole season. And while his best efforts didn’t result in a Bears victory, they did make him a member of one of the NFL’s most exclusive lists.
Fields is now one of just three quarterbacks to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. He joins two former NFL MVPs — Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson — as the only quarterbacks to ever achieve those heights.
But just how close is Fields to setting a quarterback rushing record? Here’s a look at his current ranking on the NFL’s single-season quarterback rushing leaderboard.

Most rushing yards by a QB in a season
Lamar Jackson is currently the single-season rushing leader at the quarterback position. He totaled 1,206 yards on the ground during his MVP campaign in 2019. He also is the only quarterback in NFL history to run for more than 1,000 yards twice.

Of course, it’s worth noting that Fields’ season is still ongoing. The Bears have three games remaining, so Fields could end up moving further up the list. And at the very least, he should have a chance to challenge Jackson for the top spot on the list.

How many rushing yards will Justin Fields have in 2022?
Currently, Fields is averaging 76.9 rushing yards per game. If he continues at that clip over the rest of the 2022 NFL season, he would finish the year with about 1,231 rushing yards. That would be a new NFL record.
It will help Fields that he is playing the Lions and Vikings in the final two weeks of the season. Both teams ranked bottom-eight in terms of quarterback rushing yards allowed entering Week 15, and Fields particularly shredded Detroit for 147 rushing yards in Week 10.
So, provided that Fields can stay healthy, he should have a good chance to surpass Jackson’s record.
