The Suns cannot catch a break from the injury bug this season.
Just as All-Star guard Chris Paul returned to the lineup from a nagging heel injury, their other superstar guard, Devin Booker, is dealing with an ailment.
Booker hadn’t missed a game to this point in the season but it appears he is dealing with left hamstring tightness after being pulled in the fourth quarter of a game against the Pelicans on Friday, Dec. 9. Booker played 36 minutes in the contest but head coach Monty Williams elected to replace the star guard late in a close game, leaving some suspicion about a potential injury.
Booker has been playing MVP-caliber basketball in the 2022-23 season, averaging 27.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. The Sporting News has you covered with the latest news on Booker’s injury.

What is Devin Booker’s injury?
Booker was pulled late in the fourth quarter of a game against the Pelicans despite playing 36 minutes in the contest. Head coach Monty Williams revealed the next day that Booker was dealing with left hamstring soreness, and Booker confirmed that notion.
“Just try to make the best decision for the team and for him. … Sometimes I’ve got to protect him,” Williams said of his decision to take Booker out of a close game in the fourth quarter.
“Yeah, there’s something going on, we’ll figure it out,” Booker said when asked about his hamstring injury.
How long is Devin Booker out?
Coach Williams said Booker is “day-to-day” with left hamstring tightness. He has already been listed as out for Sunday’s rematch against the Pelicans.
