After England’s match with Australia was abandoned due to bad weather which has plagued the tournament so far, Jos Buttler’s men are in desperate need of a victory against an impressive New Zealand outfit.
The Black Caps have recorded wins over both the Aussies and Sri Lanka so far and have the edge over tonight’s opponent having beaten the English in three out of their past five encounters in the T20 format.

6:40: Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by six wickets in the earlier game at the Gabba. The toss between England and New Zealand has just been done after that one finished up. Buttler called correctly and England will bat first.
6:30: “It’s almost into the knockout stages now in terms of how we’ve got to go about our cricket. It’s must-win games,” England’s assistant coach Paul Collingwood said in the lead up to this clash.
Meanwhile, their vice-captain Moeen Ali claimed after the side’s slow start, the situation was a simple one.
“We’ve got to win all of our games,” he wrote in his column for The Daily Mail.
“Our mindset is simply telling ourselves that if we win four games, we win the World Cup. Two games this week and two games next week. That’s it.”
