Brazil go for a perfect group stage as they match up against Cameroon in the Group G finale at the 2022 World Cup.
The pre-tournament betting favorites have six points from their first two matches, yet to concede a goal. They’re missing an injured Neymar, which clearly had an effect against Switzerland, but they still managed to get through with the victory.
Cameroon, meanwhile, require victory to have a chance at advancing, sitting on just a single point thus far. They would need a win and Switzerland draw or loss to move on, and will thus be up for this game.
The African nation scored three but conceded three against Serbia in one of the group stage’s wildest finishes, and they should make this game a track meet as they look to go right at the Brazil second team.

Cameroon vs. Brazil odds
Brazil are big favorites in the match, but not as big as we’ve seen with some of the top favorites in the World Cup. This is likely due to the fact that Brazil are top of the group and have already qualified for the knockout stage, and could rotate the squad. We saw France do this in Group D play, and they fell to defeat against Tunisia.
Still, the over is a big favorite here as Brazil are expected to run up the score, while Cameroon are not expected to find the back of the net against the South American side which has yet to concede.

Cameroon vs. Brazil: 3 things to know
Cameroon vs. Brazil team news
Goalkeeper Andre Onana was booted from the Indomitable Lions’ squad after their first match. There was lots of speculation as to exactly why, but reports indicate a massive tactical disagreement with head coach Rigobert Song. That’s the only miss for Cameroon, who are otherwise fully healthy.
While Brazil are dealing with injuries to Alex Sandro and Danilo that could keep them out of this match, all the focus is on the status of Neymar who will not be available for this game due to an ankle problem. It’s a race against time for their eventual Round of 16 match, and he could eventually end up missing that game as well.

Cameroon vs. Brazil prediction
- Moneyline lean: Brazil (-375)
- Against the spread lean: Brazil -1.5 (ODDS)
- Score prediction: Cameroon 1-2 Brazil
This should be an elementary finish to the group stage for Brazil. With respect to what happened to France against Tunisia when rotating the squad, Les Bleus still should have had at least one goal in that game, and Brazil’s backups will look to take advantage of their moment in the World Cup spotlight.
Cameroon’s attack will definitely put Brazil’s second-choice back line under pressure at times, and should snatch a goal, but it won’t be enough to keep Brazil from confirming their place atop the group.

While it’s almost a sure thing that Brazil will find the back of the net at some point, the larger question is whether Cameroon can also bag a goal. Though Brazil have been fabulous defensively, Tite is expected to rotate his squad, and we saw with France that causes problems.
The biggest alarm bell for me defensively for Brazil is that Bremer is expected to start at the back. The Juventus defender was a surprise selection to the World Cup over Arsenal center-back Gabriel, and in my mind, a mistake. Bremer has taken time to settle in at Juventus and is not up to the same level. If he and Eder Militao do end up playing, this could be an opportunity for a Cameroon attack that has put up 3.01 xG through their first two games of the tournament.
