Barcelona vs Real Madrid time, TV channel, live stream, lineups, and betting odds for El Clasico in La Liga

Barcelona and Real Madrid resume their historic and world-renowned rivalry in the next edition of El Clasico at Camp Nou on Sunday.

The hosts lead the La Liga table by nine points and could push their advantage to double digits with a win, which would be their third in a row over their rivals in white.

Yet Barcelona have not beaten Real Madrid at Camp Nou since 2018 when they enjoyed a 5-1 rout at their home venue. Since, they have contested four straight without victory, playing to two defeats and two draws.

Real Madrid will know anything less than all three points could mean the end of their league title chase, leaving only the Champions League as the remaining realistically winnable trophy in 2022/23.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid projected lineups & team news

All eyes for Barcelona will be on the status of young midfielder Pedri who has been missing since mid-February with a thigh injury. He returned to training this week and could reportedly start against Real Madrid, and at the very least would likely make the bench. Ousmane Dembele, who is nursing a long-term hamstring injury, was oddly pictured attending a Sunderland match midweek but remains sidelined.

Predicting Xavi’s back line has been impossible this season, as he’s rotated a number of players throughout the centre-back and right-back position. Andreas Christensen should get the start, while it will be interesting to see whether he lines up alongside Jules Kounde or whether the Frenchman gets moved out wide right.

Barcelona projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Ter Stegen (GK) — Kounde, Alonso, Christensen, Balde — Gavi, Busquets, Pedri — Raphinha, Lewandowski, Torres

Karim Benzema was withdrawn from Real Madrid’s midweek Champions League win over Liverpool but is reportedly ready to go for El Clasico. The only concerns for Los Blancos are with David Alaba, whose hamstring injury will leave him sidelined, and Ferland Mendy, who has been missing since late January.

Eduardo Camavinga started in midfield against Liverpool midweek, but Aurelien Tchouameni should reclaim his place for this match.

Real Madrid projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Courtois (GK) — Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Nacho — Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos — Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius

Barcelona vs Real Madrid betting odds & lines

Barcelona, as league leaders and hosts for this match, are understandable favourites, at nearly even-money on the three-way line, but the oddsmakers are well aware that this fixture can produce some unpredictable results.

As a perfect encapsulation of that sentiment, Real Madrid have won two in a row at Camp Nou, and they haven’t lost at Barcelona’s hallowed ground since 2018.
