Heading into the postseason, there were two teams that stood above the rest in the NFC.
After three rounds, they will meet as one looks to punch its ticket to the Super Bowl.
The 49ers travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Eagles on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game. It’s the matchup many expected heading into the playoffs; both teams were freight trains in the regular season, blowing past their respective competition with relative ease.
San Francisco (15-4) is led by its overwhelming defense. With All-Pro level talent like Nick Bosa and Fred Warner, it’s hard for a quarterback to not feel anxious dropping back in the pocket. The pair were electric vs. Dallas, hounding Dak Prescott while giving up just one touchdown the entire game.
Philadelphia (16-3) certainly has weapons to call upon on its offense, though. In Jalen Hurts, the Eagles have one of the league’s best quarterbacks. In Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert and A.J. Brown, it also has one of the league’s best supporting cast.
It’s a clash of NFC titans on Sunday, the two teams whose supremacy in the NFC has gone largely unquestioned throughout the year. With a Lombardi Trophy just around the corner, it’s time to see who truly wears the conference’s crown.
