The final house renovated by contestants on The Block 2022 has finally sold after languishing on the market for three months post-finale.

The five-bedroom pad at 225 McGeorge Rd, Gisborne, sold by private treaty yesterday for an undisclosed price, after being listed with a $4.08m-$4.4m asking range.

It had gone under the hammer on the show with a $4.08m reserve but bidding only reached $4.075m before the couple called their auctioneer and asked him to pass the home in.

Builder Dylan and apprentice tradie Jenny’s project featured a 40m-long hallway, outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, wood-fired hot tub and heated in-ground pool set on 5.3ha.

Fellow contestants Omar and Oz won the season with a $1.6m profit, but those involved remained tight-lipped on what Dylan and Jenny’s ended up fetching.

A Nine spokesperson confirmed the property had sold in what they described as “a positive outcome for everyone”.

TCC Real Estate Gisborne director Kirrily Evans, who had the listing along with fellow director Peter Mussared, said a husband and wife – who were not Block viewers – purchased the house.

“They were wowed by the flow of the home, they could basically see themselves there straight away and see themselves creating memories with their children and grandchildren,” Ms Evan said.

The buyers were looking forward to exploring the Macedon Ranges, she said.

Dylan and Jenny’s Gisborne house also boasted a 7-star energy efficiency rating, Mt Macedon and Red Rock views, a 395sq m covered outdoor area and wraparound deck.
