Former Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers has once again redefined revenge dressing, dazzling at today’s Melbourne Cup in a red off-the-shoulder gown with a risque cut-out.

The VRC ambassador, who last month confirmed her split from her husband of seven months, looked stunning in the dress by Australian designer Oglialoro Couture, which featured intricate beading and sequins and finished just below her knees.

She finished her outfit with a custom gold and red jewelled headpiece from Ezara J.

Rogers, who previously said her life was “falling apart”, put her personal struggles aside to attend her professional engagement – her second this week for the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Dozens of the 30-year-old’s Instagram followers were quick to comment on her “spectacular” outfit – the latest of her looks to emulate the same energy Princess Diana did in 1994, when she stepped out in a thigh-skimming LBD and pearl choker the night King (then-Prince) Charles admitted to adultery on national television.

“You always give me Princess Di vibes girl,” one fan commented on a snap of Rogers’ Derby Day ensemble.

An earlier outfit of Rogers’ – a figure-hugging black dress – also had her followers writing: “Did somebody say revenge dress?”

The comparison was raised with the influencer during an appearance at Melbourne Fashion Week last month, when she stepped out in a bold orange Helen O’Connor maxi dress with statement cutouts.

While she laughed that she could never be compared to the Princess of Wales, there’s no doubting she’s been turning heads lately for all the right reasons.

“I’m focusing on having a good time and living my best life,” Rogers told the Herald Sun.

“Wearing a good outfit definitely helps your confidence. It has been a hard time, but I am getting there.”

She added that “with fashion week, races, it’s a good time to break up”.

“It’s break up season as they say,” she joked.

Rogers’ stylist, Styled by Bloom’s Paul Versace, told Adelaide Now that she was focused on “living her best life”.

“She’s been the moment,” he said.

“The amount of messages people have sent her and I has been really overwhelming. She’s on a style journey and she’s doing her and living her best life.”
