The founder of one of Melbourne Football Club’s key sponsors is booting the snazzy Kew East pad he called home in its premiership year.

Akambo Financial Group executive chairman Anthony Kapetanovic and his wife Tania have $2.3m-$2.5m price hopes for 48 Frater St as they prepare to downsize.

Mr Kapetanovic said his wealth management business, which has the naming rights for the president’s function at home games, was entering its ninth year with the Dees.

Lush landscaping provides a verdant touch.

“We were the ball sponsor in the premiership year as well, and I’ve attributed the premiership to that,” he said.

The sleek four-bedroom property spreads across three floors, with a four-car garage and open-plan living area on the ground level.

A bedroom with an ensuite is on the middle floor, along with the kitchen, living and dining area, while upstairs houses the other bedrooms including the main with dual-vanity ensuite.

“The house itself has just been brilliantly built,” Mr Kapetanovic said.

Sensor lights and app-controlled security features are top notch.

“There’s a lot of modern technology in it; everything works really nicely for this day and age, from app-based security systems and cameras, to integrated lighting that’s all on sensors, it’s all pretty cool. We bought it new in 2018, so it’s in great condition.”

OBrien agent John Rombotis said to build the same property now would cost 40 per cent more amid inflated materials costs and construction issues.

He will auction the low-maintenance home, on a 325sq m block close to Hays Paddock, on Wednesday February 8 at 6.30pm.
