Firefighters have worked tirelessly on Wednesday morning to battle a factory fire in Melbourne’s southeast.
As of 7am, nearly 40 fire trucks had arrived at the Olive Grove factory in Keysborough after a passing police patrol noticed the factory blaze at around 5.20am.
Dozens of firefighters worked to tackle the inferno, which they brought under control just before 7.45am; however, a watch-and-act order has since been issued warning locals of smoke inhalation.
Residents have been cautioned to close windows and turn off airconditioners as the massive smoke plume begins to descend over surrounding neighbourhoods.
This fire is the latest in a series of major incidents in the state over the past week.
The Bright Moon Buddhist Temple in Springvale was destroyed in a terrifying blaze on Sunday night.
