Ex Wallaby ups the rent amid strong Greater Brisbane demand

Tevita Kuridrani has switched rental agencies with the rent upped on his Springfield Lakes property.


Ex Wallaby and rugby union star Tevita Kuridrani has succumbed to pressures in the rental market, upping the rent on his Greater Brisbane home by $110 a week.

It is the first time he has upped the rent in two years, after he switched to a new rental agency Ray White Brookwater and Greater Springfield who now have it listed at $580 a week.

He bought this Springfield Lakes four bedder during the height of his career in 2016.


Mr Kuridrani’s four bedder was last marketed at $470 a week in 2021, $460 in 2020, and $445 a week in the years before the Covid-19 pandemic. He’d bought the four bedroom, two bathroom, double garage Springfield Lakes house in May 2016 for $443,000.

PropTrack data shows the median rental price for four bedroom houses in Springfield Lakes has risen 19.6 per cent in the past 12 months to $550 a week.

Latest figures show 83 houses available for rent in the area in the past month, with 675 renters currently interested in property in the area. In the past year, 508 houses have been leased on realestate.com.au in Springfield Lakes.

Demand for four bedders has seen median rent in the area rise 19.6 per cent to $550 a week.


Mr Kuridrani’s Brisbane property sits on a 325sq m block.


The rental listing by Ray White Brookwater and Greater Springfield agent Maria Carey said two weeks rent and 4 weeks bond was required upfront to secure the home.

She described it as a “stunning two storey home” with a park across the road, close to Springfield Lakes State School, Orion Shopping Centre, Orion Lagoon, Robelle Domain and public transport.

The home has a separate airconditioned lounge, open plan living, dining and kitchen, fully fenced yard and covered rear patio for entertaining.
