It Takes Two
Release date: November 4, 2022
Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Winner of ‘Game Of The Year’ at the 2021 Game Awards, It Takes Two is finally coming to Nintendo Switch. The genre-bending co-op platform adventure follows a couple in the midst of divorce as they find themselves turned into dolls by a magic spell. Working together with your Player 2, you’ll face a range of cheerfully disruptive gameplay as you attempt to navigate your way back to your bodies (and your marriage). Don’t be fooled by the cutesy nature of this one though – there are some dark moments sprinkled throughout, so it may not be suitable for younger children.

Sonic Frontiers
Release date: November 8, 2022
Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Announced late last year, Sonic Frontiers offers a new take on the Sonic games. Judging by the trailer, there’s an overworld with five massive Starfall Islands to explore, along with some more traditional Cyber Space levels. There have also been quite a few comparisons drawn between Sonic Frontiers and Breath of the Wild in early reviews, so do with that what you will.

God Of War: Ragnarök
Release date: November 9, 2022
Platforms: PS5, PS4
After Elden Ring, God of War: Ragnarök is possibly thebiggest game release of 2022. The much-anticipated sequel to 2018’s God of War picks up a few years after the original left off, with Kratos and Atreus embarking on a mythical journey for answers and allies before Ragnarök arrives. Rather than the six realms we saw in the original, Ragnarök will take place across all nine, adding Asgard, Vanaheim and Svartalfheim to the mix. This also means we’ll be seeing brand new enemies, including Thor, along with old foes like Freya and a slate of other new and interesting characters.

Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Next to God of War: Ragnarök, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the most anticipated launch of the month, bringing with it the first true open-world Pokémon experience. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will meanwhile allow players to explore the world at their own leisure. We’ll also be seeing three new starter Pokémon, three different storylines to tackle, four player co-op functionality and, of course, one new legendary Pocket Monster for Scarlet and Violet respectively.

Disney Speedstorm
Release date: TBC 2022
Platforms: PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC

The free to download arcade racer will see your favourite Disney and Pixar characters get behind the wheel in a Mario Kart-like game. Gameloft is also promising plenty of “fresh seasonal content” along with “new racers, new tracks and collectibles” that will drop into the game regularly.
If you want to stay up to date on release information, you can follow the Disney Speedstorm Twitter account here.

Set after Gollum is captured and held in Barad-dûr, the story-driven action-adventure requires you to climb, leap and grapple your way out of danger as you seek out your Precious.
