The Bank of Mum and Dad is still well and truly alive in 2023, with expats snapping up a $4.5m Bondi Beach apartment for their 28-year-daughter after just one ­viewing.

The couple, who had been living in the UK, had just flown in when they decided to take their daughter to an open home.

“They looked at it on the Thursday and it was sold on the Friday, said Ray White Double Bay’s No.1 agent, Warren Ginsberg.

He shared the listing of the three-bedder at 34/178 Campbell Pde, Bondi Beach with his colleague, Jordan L’Estrange.

The guide had been $4.2m, but the couple paid more to secure the property, which had ocean views.

Meanwhile in Tamarama, the beach market there is also hot, with a two-bedder attracting big crowds.
