Target is being praised for continually giving shoppers access to “affordable” fashion items, with some stating the budget store keeps getting “better and better”.

Women have been taking to social media to rave about the Australian retailer after spotting it had recently started selling an office staple.

The store has just released its new Lily Loves Collection featuring a pair of $40 “Wide Leg Pleated Pants” and a $35 “Crop Waistcoat” in four different colourways, chocolate brown, neutral beige, bright fuchsia pink and lime green.

There’s also an “Oversized Blazer” which retails for $60, bringing the pants, waistcoat and jacket three-piece set in at $135.

“Many influencers have been loving the crop waistcoat as it is a staple piece to any workwear wardrobe, as it can be styled in a variety of ways, with a pair of wide leg pants, mini skirt and blazer for the three piece suit look,” a Target spokesperson said.

“This collection has gone viral after the waistcoat trend emerged from the runway with global ‘IT Girls’ including Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber rocking a laid back work attire as an everyday look.”

Customers on social media are “going crazy” over the three-piece set with videos appearing on both TikTok and Instagram of shoppers trying on the new collection at various Target stores.

“OK but is it just me or have they seriously upped their game??” one Melbourne woman wrote.

“Seriously… @Target do no wrong,” another said.

As another declared: “This store just keeps getting better and better.”

Reaction to the various videos was met with similar applause, with people praising the fit, colours and sizing which goes from 6 to 20.

“Obsessed,” one said, as another agreed: “Stunning.”

“I’m legit RUNNING to buy that vest,” one women commented.

One wrote: “Literally went and bought all these outfits today. Obsessed.”

Many Americans were also quick to comment they wish their own Target stores stocked similarly to Australia’s.

“Beautiful! I wish he had it here in the US,” one remarked.

“Oh man. I wish US had this,” another agreed.

As one disappointed American tagged their store, asking: “So when are these making their way over to the US!”

The frenzy for the new summer suiting option comes after the brand’s $140 Preview Linen two-piece went viral in October.

On social media, the affordable two-piece was a hit, with Canberra stylist Gen – who posts under the handle @thisisgenevieve_ – describing it as an “essential” wardrobe addition.

“Dress up for the office or wear casually, you can’t go wrong,” she captioned a clip of herself in the beige set.

Gen styled hers with a white knit tank top and matching sneakers.

She accessorised with a black handbag that followers said looked “so cute”.
