Well-known American TV personality Ryan Seacrest has sold his gorgeous mansion in Beverly Hills for $51m (AU$75.3m).

While that may sound like a huge chunk of change, it’s still $34m (AU$40.2m) less than the $85m (AU$115.5) Seacrest sought for it when he put it on the market in 2020.

The seven-bedroom estate was relisted in February for $69.95m. The price then dropped to $61., 99m in May, then to $59.5m in September, according to Realtor.

The “American Idol” host purchased the compound with a 855 sqm main home and two guesthouses from Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi in 2012 for $36.5m.

The luxurious main home boasts high-end features like a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a plush movie theatre, a spa and a mediation garden with a reflecting pond.

Also on the grounds are two guesthouses, gorgeous pool with pool house and separate fitness facility and underground garage.

Described as one of Beverly Hills most private and secluded estates, the 1.21ha property also boasts “beautiful city and ocean views,” according to the listing.

The mega-mansion was originally built for actor Laurence Harvey, who later sold it to actor Joan Collins. Then Max Mutchnick, co-creator of “Will & Grace,” picked it up, eventually selling it to DeGeneres and de Rossi.

Seacrest still has a five-bedroom home lingering on the market in Beverly Hills for a more modest sum of $3.99m.

Built in 1957, the smaller property does need some work. Initially listed in February for $5.8m, the home offers the “opportunity to remodel or rebuild and create spectacular value/upside,” the listing states.

It sits on an acre block and features views that span the Los Angeles Basin.

Seacrest bought the home in 2012 for $3m and could make nearly a $1m profit if he gets close to his asking price.
