Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.61%, while the index declined 1.12%, and the index fell 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:), which rose 2.99% or 0.83 points to trade at 28.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck KGaA (ETR:) added 1.50% or 2.45 points to end at 165.85 and Puma SE (ETR:) was up 0.93% or 0.43 points to 46.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 5.84% or 1.42 points to trade at 22.88 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 5.62% or 1.29 points to end at 21.68 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 3.46% or 1.84 points to 51.40.
The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 13.36% to 11.03, Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:) which was up 2.94% to settle at 30.82 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which gained 2.46% to close at 35.00.
The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 7.31% to 27.25 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 6.05% to settle at 6.13 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 5.50% to 33.87 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 13.36% to 11.03, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was up 1.33% to settle at 79.95 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which gained 0.78% to close at 19.50.
The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 7.31% to 27.25 in late trade, Suse SA (ETR:) which lost 4.64% to settle at 17.04 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 2.63% to 18.91 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 443 to 233 and 77 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.00% to 25.16.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.11% or 18.30 to $1,668.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.70% or 1.50 to hit $89.87 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.51% or 1.43 to trade at $96.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.70% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 110.58.
