Florida Homes Are Still Selling in Four Days—At Least Inside Disney World

When you wish upon a star, you might still sell your house in less than a week.

A home that’s part of Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort found a buyer in four days after hitting the market earlier this month for $3.95 million.

The 3,642-square-foot residence is part of Golden Oak, Florida, an upscale residential community established on the grounds of the resort in 2011. This home was built in 2015 in “a transitional modern style,” listing agent Chris Christensen of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. He shares the listing with Julie Christensen.

“It’s all about the neighborhood,” Mr. Christensen said in an email. “Golden Oak is the only community built on Disney property. … It [was] priced at the low range for the neighborhood, which makes it incredibly appealing to people who want to live in Golden Oak, but not at a $10 million price point.”

The home went into contract a little more than a week ago, according to listing records. Sotheby’s declined to comment on the buyer, however, it’d be fair to say there’s a shared love of Mickey Mouse and the gang in the neighborhood.

The home has an open kitchen, dining and living area.

“Most of the residents are true Disney fans,” Mr. Christensen continued. “They range from retired couples who hope to hand the home down in the future to younger families with children who live there full time, taking advantage of the lifestyle.”

The residence features wood and marble floors and vaulted, beamed ceilings. There’s an eat-in kitchen with an adjacent dining and living area, plus disappearing glass doors that open to the pool and backyard area, listing photos show.

It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two powder rooms, the listing said. The primary bedroom suite has a large walk-in closet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub.

The house is within walking distance to Summerhouse—a private clubhouse at Golden Oak—and a golf-cart ride to Four Seasons Resort.

The home last traded in 2015 for nearly $1.9 million. The sellers were not available for comment.
