The Alastair Clarkson era at North Melbourne officially kicks off as the Roos host West Coast on Saturday afternoon, with a valuable four points up for grabs.
Under the lead of the master coach, North will look to get its season off to the perfect start in its bid to bounce back from consecutive wooden spoons.
Clarkson hasn’t wasted long to make an immediate selection statement, opting to play Tristan Xerri as the No. 1 ruck over club champion Todd Goldstein, while North will also unveil draftee Harry Sheezel in addition to recruits Griffin Logue and Liam Shiels.

The Eagles meanwhile are out to atone for their own glum 2022 that saw them tumble all the way down to 17th on the ladder.
West Coast will also unveil a crop of fresh faces in youngsters Noah Long, Campbell Chesser and Reuben Ginbey plus recruit Jayden Hunt.
