ASH is NOT and ISP
The Aussie SchoolHouse is not an ISP.  We provide web space to Australian schools, teachers and professional teacher associations.  We do not provide domain names, email accounts or a whole range of services typically provided by ISPs.  However there a number of services that we do provide.  They are listed below.
Tutorials
It is up to you to learn how to create web pages and build web sites.  We do not provide a tutorial service.  There are many tutorial sites on the Web, books in stores and training courses on offer throughout the community.
Form processing (schools, teachers and professional associations)
Forms can be processed and the results sent to an email address specified by you.  There are two ways this can happen.  Please consult the Processing Forms page for further details.
MS FrontPage (schools, teachers and professional associations)
MS FrontPage 2000 extensions are installed the server.  In order to take advantage of the extensions you must have a FrontPage web set up.  Please make a request to the ASH webmaster using the FrontPage Web Request form..  Further information for FrontPage users is available on the FrontPage Users Page and ought to be read before you attempt to publish to your web.
Active Server Pages (schools, teachers and professional associations)
Active Server Pages are supported by the server. You need to teach yourself how to generate the code within your pages.  Go to the Active Server Page for more information.
Database support (schools, teachers and professional associations)
We will support ONE database on the server for you.  You may have as many tables as you like within that database.  In order to write and delete records to a database, the correct permissions must be in place on the folder where you store your database.  You must contact the webmaster at the AussieSchoolHouse to arrange the details.
Webcasting using Windows Media Streaming Service
Windows Media Streaming Services are installed on the server.  This service allows you to set up a live broadcast using Windows Media Encoder on your local machine.  The user can receive the broadcast using Windows Media Player.  We do not offer Real Networks streaming services.  In order to use these services you must contact the webmaster at Aussie SchoolHouse and arrange the broadcast.  Naturally, you ought to allow for plenty of planning time.  More information is available on the Webcasting Page.
